Job Summary
This role provides analytical and reporting support for Food & Beverage Operations by pulling, cleaning, and organizing data from POS, F&B inventory, and BI systems to support executive decision‑making. The Business Analyst works closely with The Food & Beverage Operations Director to respond to ad hoc requests, prepare executive‑level presentation materials, and support operational performance reporting, cost analysis, and inventory optimization efforts. This position plays a critical support role in enabling leadership to focus on interpretation and action by ensuring data is accurate, well‑structured, and clearly packaged for executive-level discussions.
Essential Functions
- Pull, clean, validate, and organize data from POS systems, inventory management tools, and BI platforms to support Food & Beverage operational analysis and executive reporting.
- Prepare leadership‑ready slide decks and supporting datasets that summarize performance trends, cost drivers, and key insights for use in executive‑level discussions.
- Support food and beverage cost analysis, vendor, purchasing, and inventory reporting by assembling data, identifying variances, and flagging potential data quality issues for review.
- Respond to ad hoc and time‑sensitive analysis and reporting requests by gathering required data, preparing clear summaries, and ensuring consistency and accuracy across outputs.
- Support project and initiative work by assisting with data analysis, metric development, and documentation needed to inform go / no‑go decisions, pilots, and operational improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.

- Plus 2 year of relevant work experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Sharp analytical and conceptual thinking skills

- Proficiency with Excel -- pivot tables, macros, v-look-ups, etc.

The salary/hourly range is $65,500.00 – $84,888.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
