SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position is responsible for leading Material Control clerical staff in daily warehouse operations to ensure tasks are completed safely, accurately, in a timely fashion, and that all inventory/material control policies and procedures are being followed.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Incumbent must be adept at the various roles and responsibilities of the material control clerical staff, including all aspects of warehouse operations (Issuing, shipping, receiving, Cycle counting etc.), • Disbursement of materials, and all other warehouse functions
• Create, analyze, and reconcile materials management and inventory reports
• Responsible for the safety and security of the physical plant, material, equipment, etc.
• Lead safety briefings and clerical staff in day to day activity in Material Control Department.
• Effectively interact with all internal/external customers and representatives from other departments and organizations.
• Train and assess staff on all warehouse duties.
 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Working knowledge and experience utilizing SAP and Ariba (eTrax) or equivalent systems. • Experience in materials management, and warehouse operations.
• Understanding of, and experience with cycle count programs.
• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word,Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Customer Service experience and leadership experience.
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must qualify in SAP, and be able to accurately and completely evaluate and maintain inventory and data in the SAP system • Be or become OSHA forklift and DOT Hazmat certified.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Successful completion of AMTII/RWP Awareness CBT.
• Possess good organizational skills in order to maintain inventory files/records.
• Capable of problem solving, multi-tasking, and meeting deadlines as assigned.
• Familiar and complicit with regulatory agencies (DOT, OSHA, etc.) as well as departmental regulations, policies and procedures.
• Must have a high school diploma or general education development (GED) high school equivalency diploma. 

 

COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

The hourly rate is $26.69 -  $35.58 (with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment).
