TITLE: Senior Principal Technologist
LOCATION: Washington, D.C. and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. (remote position)


DUTIES: Researches and analyzes technologies within area of required expertise. Evaluates and recommends new products or tools for the organization. Makes recommendations and influences long-term technology strategy and planning for multiple business units. Works with service providers to ensure that their in-scope technical solutions are consistent with the enterprise business strategy and architecture. Serves as a consultant and escalation point for issues. Provides project managers with technical consultation and advice, enabling quick response to inquiries related to the program/project. Provides technical analyses to help define, assess, and monitor the technical aspects of the program/project or service. Designs innovative solutions using new technologies. Recommends short-term alternatives when appropriate. Troubleshoots existing information systems or networks to identify errors or deficiencies. Brainstorms possible solutions and evaluates alternatives against decision criteria. Leads team responsible for the resolution of support issues escalated by senior operations, development personnel, or service provider personnel.


REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Must have seven (7) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Senior Principal Technologist or any occupation related to Computer systems Analysis. Must also have six (6) years of experience: (1) Upgrading, configuring, and integrating core Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) Hub components, including Informatica Master Data Management (MDM) Hub Console, Hub Store, Hub Server, Cleanse Match Server, Cleanse Adapter, Data masking, and Data migration; (2) Providing application support, automation, configuration, migration, and deployment instances on AWS and Azure environments and data centers, including administration of EC2, Cloud watch, Cloud Formation, AWS Lambda, Dynamo DB, Aurora DB, and AWS API; (3) Installing, configuring, integrating, and maintaining of IBM MQ 7.x/8.x/9.x.Created and configured MQ Objects like Queue Managers, Local Queues, Alias Queues, Remote queues, Transmission Queues, Dead Letter Queues, Clustered Queues, Channels, Listeners, Topics, Subscriptions, Clusters, Triggers, and Processes in DEV, TEST and PROD environments; (4) Administering IBM WebSphere Application server v8.5/v7.0/6.1/v6.0.2/5.x on multiple platforms including AIX, Sun Solaris, Linux, and Windows; (5) Designing, deploying, and configuring Java applications including facilitating performance tuning, security, backup, and recovery on WebSphere and JBOSS Servers; (6) Acting as a technical lead for administering HP SiteScope, AppDynamics, and Kibana monitoring tools which includes creating groups, monitoring dashboards for critical applications, response times, and infrastructure performance, and troubleshooting applications to identify the issue/defect once the alert is triggered; (7) Configuring custom reporting of the application/Server health and performance statistics on a daily, weekly, and user-specified health reports for applications and servers; and (8) Working with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and associated concepts, including XML Schemas, WS specifications, SOAP, Service Mediation/ESB, Digital certificates, and Messaging. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Remote work permitted in accordance with standard company policy. All positions require pre-employment background check verification and a pre-employment drug screen.

SALARY:        $147,784 to $195,600 per year
