This is a hybrid position that can be based out of Washington DC; New Castle, DE; Philadelphia, PA; and/or Chicago, IL
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Lead Asset Disposition Specialist position is responsible for the disposition of various Amtrak assets and other scrap material. This position will be responsible for the disposition of all Railbound Equipment, Scrap Rail & Other Track Material (OTM). This position will also manage multiple scrap contracts across the Amtrak network, as well as work closely with both Mechanical and Engineering personnel on most of the asset dispositions. During the disposition process, the Specialist will ensure all required documentation is received and approved and will ensure the physical removal of the assets or other scrap material from Amtrak property. Once assets are off Amtrak property, the Specialist will ensure all systems are updated and will ensure Capital Accounting retires any assets as necessary. The position will also oversee the new procurement portal,as well as manage the Request for Asset Disposition (RAD) Salesforce site.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Responsible for the disposition of all Railbound Equipment.
• Responsible for the disposition of all Rail and other OTM scrap.
• Responsible for the disposition and management of all scrap containers across Amtrak network.
• Responsible for RAD site and all reporting from site.
• Responsible for management and development of new procurement portal used for asset sales.
• Performs routine site inspections to ensure compliance in all areas of EAMDT requirements.
• Optimizes EAMDT service levels for various groups during disposition activities.
• Interacts with outside parties such as Customers/Purchasers of Equipment or Scrap, FRA, and other stakeholders as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS in Business Management or related field. Or, equivalent combination of training, education, and relevant 6+ experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Working knowledge of Maximo, SAP, Tableau, Excel, Word, and Salesforce.
• Effectively works in a strategically focused workforce and on cross-functional teams.
• Must be able to work and communicate effectively in writing and verbally with all levels of the company and customers.
• Satisfactory prior job performance.
• Demonstrated communication skills and ability to train and develop employees throughout Amtrak on our disposition processes.
• Proven excellent interpersonal skills, leadership, problem solving to guide and support staff to achieve goals consistent with departmental and corporate programs and objectives within budgetary constraints.
• Proven excellent leadership, problem solving and presentation skills to guide and support members requesting dispositions on achieving final dispositions/sales and asset retirements consistent with departmental and corporate procedures.
• Satisfactory prior job performance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Extensive experience in Asset Management, including asset dispositions.
• Advanced working knowledge of Maximo, SAP, Tableau, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce systems.
• Working knowledge of ARIBA systems.
• Prior Asset Sales experience.

• Consistently uses a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse to perform a variety of tasks.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and/or lift, carry, push, or pull objects of various weights; ability to reach, kneel, crouch, bend, or twist in order to perform site visits and inspections of Assets or other scrap materials.
Mental Demands:
• Effectively communicates, comprehends, and responds to verbal statements and instructions, both orally and in writing.
• Acquires new knowledge, skills, and tasks, both complex and simple, in order to effectively perform essential functions of the role.
• Ability to resolve problems with conflicting priorities in cognitively demanding situations.
• Frequently reads and analyzes hard copy and/or electronic material and writes reports as needed.
• Conducts in person and/or telephone dialogues in order to manage and conduct the flow of work.
Working Conditions:
• Works in a fast-paced, time sensitive warehouse environment with frequently changing priorities.
• Frequently handles multiple projects simultaneously.
• Subject to travel 25% of the time throughout and outside the region as required (e.g., via airplane, train, automobile).
• Works daily in the Maximo, SAP, Salesforce and integrated Ariba system.

COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
The salary/hourly range is $94,300-$122,256, Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
