SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for the overall field management of the on-board service extra board personnel and provides administrative support for road operations. Responsible for responding to and addressing employee needs and issues. Administers the on-board revenue accounting function including the distribution of meal checks, review and submission of employee accounting data, the audit of working funds and the collection of debits and distribution of credits.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Provide direction to ensure compliance of on-board personnel with corporate policies and procedures relative to customer service, service recovery, accounting procedures, FDA requirements, ready crew, safety and uniform and grooming.
• Implements operational processes to ensure quality and consistency of day-to-day operations consistent with business and service objectives; ensures proper on-board personnel training, attendance and testing consistent with service requirements and other items of regulatory compliance.
• Supervises employee development, counseling and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinates management of crew base on employee standards, staffing, training, disciplinary actions and other personnel actions.
• Implements division safety plan to ensure compliance of all employees.
• Administers on-board revenue account function including the distribution of meal checks, review and sub mission of employee accounting data, the audit and collection of debits and distribution of credits.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Demonstrated experience in related field including knowledge of territory and services provided.
• Working knowledge of applicable ASWC, & TCU labor agreements and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated experience with strong communication skills both written and oral, within and outside of the organization.
• Must be proficient on various PC applications i.e. Advanced Excel skills as well as proficiency in all MS Office applications, ARROW, CICSPROD, EXTRA, LMS, TDRS, SAP, CSPMI, TDRS and Adobe Professional.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors Degree in Transportation, Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of work experience, education and/or training.

 

COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The salary range is $95,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
