SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Perform storeroom activities such as tracking and maintaining inventory, shipping, receiving, disbursements, identification of parts and supplies. Must maintain a neat and orderly work area. Must be able to enter information into the SAP system. Must perform all clerical functions related to the performance of these duties. Must be capable of multi-tasking and meeting deadlines as assigned. Will handle logging and reporting of all disbursements received through Material Control, answer phones, create and maintain files. Will operate trucks requiring CDL to make pick-ups, deliveries, and handling of materials.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have CDL Class B and conform to all State and Federal Dept. of Transportation Rules and Laws
  • Must have or obtain CDL endorsement to transport Hazardous Materials
  • Must be experienced with and become qualified to operate all material handling equipment (forklifts, stackers, manlifts, Grapple Truck, etc.)
  • Must have or obtain Amtrak RWP, AMTII, & NORAC qualifications. Must be capable to lift 50 pounds, be OSHA forklift certified and DOT Hazmat certified
  • Must be familiar and experienced with safe hoisting and rigging practices.
  • Must have CDL License at time of application - No Exceptions
  • Applicant will have 30 days to apply for CDL Hazmat endorsement
  • Must become qualified on the operation of the Grappler Truck in accordance with the terms of Rule 2-A-5

COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

The hourly range is $27.08- $36.11 (with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment).
