SUMMARY OF DUTIES 
The Sr. Inventory Analyst will have the primary responsibility of reporting and analytical support for the Maintenance of Way Procurement Team. This position will work independently and with cross functional counterparts to measure and report supply chain performance relative to various KPIs including PO throughput, demand planning, inventory turnover, and on-time performance, among others. In addition, the role will create user dashboards and develop reports on KPIs and metrics derived from multiple data systems and assist in departmental initiatives and projects.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
•    Design and produce internal reports and metrics to measure, track, and summarize operational performance, trends, efficiencies, and risk.
•    Build reports and dashboards to support the supply chain leadership team, including presentation slides, memos, and process documentations
•    Perform analysis to identify cost savings and inventory optimization
•    Maintain supplier metrics, contribute to the supplier management process
•    Develop and execute solutions to enhance supply chain operations
•    Creates ad-hoc reports at the request of upper management

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
•    Bachelor’s Degree required OR equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

•    3 years of relevant experience required.
•    Experience in a matrix environment and experience promoting a safe workplace.
•    Prior satisfactory job performance.
•    Expert in Microsoft Excel (IF-Then, VLOOKUP, Pivot tables, etc.).
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
•    Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes including planning, sourcing, production, and logistics
•    Strong written and oral communication skills, advanced computer and analytical skills.
•    Strong report writing and presentation skills. 
•    Ability to build relationships throughout business to assure program initiatives are met.
•    Demonstrated knowledge in data mining, data modeling and data warehousing.
•    Familiar with data and metric development that leads to business optimization and efficiencies.
•    In-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its use in management decision-making.
•    Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems and ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
•    Bachelor’s degree in materials or logistics management, supply chain management, operations management, business, or related discipline.

•    5+ years of relevant experience preferred

•    Microsoft Applications certification
•    Working knowledge of SAP Ariba is also preferred
•    Expertise in using various analytical tools such as MS Access, MS Excel, Tableau, and others
•    Ability to perform statistical analysis of business data and ability to create visual graphs to more effectively illustrate trends for end users.
•    Ability to write Macros in Excel or related applications to create dashboards and reports.
•    Extensive experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
•    Expert knowledge of supply chain, inventory management, commodity management, and supplier management.
•    Advanced statistical knowledge.
