SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for developing and managing Amtrak’s real property inventory management information system, the technology resource that supports Real Estate’s strategic business decisions, and managing other Real Estate technology initiatives needed for comprehensive asset management of all corporate-wide real property assets

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Serve as system administrator of Amtrak’s Maximo-based Real Property Inventory Management Information System (RPIMIS).
• Make strategic, business-based decisions for RPIMIS system improvements.
• Develop business requirements for system enhancements and added functionality to support end-user requirements in coordination with Amtrak IT and external vendors.
• Reconcile system development project scopes and provide capital budget oversight.
• Coordinate technical requirements for integration points between Maximo and other Real Estate systems.
• Oversee regularly scheduled reports and manage ad hoc reporting to executive team.
• Manage property records / data uploads and oversee data cleansing activities.
• Manage system notification requirements and user permission levels.
• Provide Maximo training as needed for the Real Estate team.
• Work within Real Estate and with external departments to facilitate information sharing and maintain updated records.
• Respond to information requests about Amtrak’s real property inventory for both the Real Estate team and other Amtrak departments.
• Utilize ESRI geographic information system (GIS) tools for the department’s property analysis and mapping requirements.
• Perform special projects as needed to develop and enhance Real Estate’s technical capabilities.
• Interface with all levels of Amtrak management.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Advanced degree in planning, architecture or related field, with focus on space planning and utilization, real estate inventory management or equivalent combination of education, training and/or related experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work in multi-disciplined groups to achieve desired results.
• Supervisory and project management experience.
• Ability to work under tight time constraints, pressure and multiple priorities.
• Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years related work experience.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•  Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree
• Experience with database applications
• Experience with ESRI mapping programs

 

COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
