Handle baggage, express and company materials. Must be qualified to operate electrical and battery powered equipment and elevators situated within the working area of the Baggage Dept. Incumbent must be able to read, write and have a thorough knowledge of the physical layout of the Baggage Department.
• Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of the receiving, delivering and forwarding of passengers baggage, including lost and found.
• Interested applicants should be familiar with the Parcel Check Room and will be responsible for the collection and depositing of Amtrak revenue he/she

  receives during their tour of duty.
• Revenue will include that which is collected from excess baggage, storage charges, transfers, COD’s, temporary checking, Amtrak Express, prepaid

  delivery, excess valuation, etc.

• Must handle/deliver baggage, company material, mail, Amtrak express and make in-station deliveries.
• Must be fully capable of operating commercial vehicles and mechanized equipment.
• Must have a valid operator’s license.


• Some experience in a service-oriented position.
• Prefer some experience in a service-oriented position. Employees must conform to Amtrak’s Standards of Excellence and prescribed code of dress.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
