POSITION: Principal Application System Engineer


WORKSITE: 1 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington DC 20002


JOB TYPE: Full-Time


SALARY: $144,000.00

JOB DUTIES: Support, assess, recommend, and configure revenue critical distributed applications, including UMMS, ODILR and Documentum managed by the Revenue Systems Support CoE group. Act as the lead technical engineer on the UMMS project for Law and support Salesforce application called ODILR and any other general IT technical functions. Provide pre- and post-implementation assurance reviews for implementation/major or minor upgrades. Perform application security and segregation of duties. Utilize existing functionality to replace / enhance manual controls. Perform enterprise systems controls integration, optimization, and pre/post implementation services. Provide system implementation and maintenance assurance. Identify opportunities to effectively mitigate risk and improve performance and functionality. Apply technical strategic planning for SLA and KPI metric reporting on systems availability. Provide process improvement and automation. Provide end-user support and vendor escalation for systems issues.


REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related filed, followed by eight years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or eight years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in a related occupation. Experience must include: working with (1) Wolters Kluwer’s Matter Management Suite - Passport, Office Companion, Passport Administrator, Passport UI Designer; (2) OpenText Documentum 7.2 Content Management Suite - Webtop 6.8, Documentum Composer, Workflow Manager, DFC, DQL/API Developer, Captiva Capture 7.5.; (3) Object Oriented Programming - Java, J2EE and Oracle 12c, SQL Server; (4) system and application monitoring tools. This position requires pre-employment background verification, medical review and pre-employment drug screen.
