Job Summary

Provide high quality software systems by analyzing requirements, providing technical design, developing software, supporting testing and deployment. Work closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Responsible for analyzing and bringing new technology trends in the industry. Serve as point of escalation for operational support for assigned systems.

Essential Functions

  • Define, develop, or modify SuccessFactors HR Cloud technologies to deliver efficient business processes and maximize functionality
  • Confirms requirements are clear, follows a documented development/build methodology and makes sure a robust unit and system/integration testing regimen is followed to deliver solutions per designs
  • Consults in the development/build planning process with customers, IT business systems analysts, architects, information security, and other team members, taking the lead on all technical issues/solutions
  • Assists in the development of user guides and training documentation.  Provides technical guidance or system process expertise for Production Operations & Maintenance teams.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance of applications and provides cross functional project oversight for technical teams/resources
  • Consult in the project planning process with customers, IT business analysts, architects, and team members.
  • Organize and document technical requirements.
  • Define, develop, or modify software application.
  • Implement integration plans. Interfaces with testing teams to incorporate plans into integration testing process.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance of applications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience. 
  • Plus 6 years of relevant work experience using SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and the entire Talent Management suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience. 
  • Plus 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • SAP SuccessFactors Certifications
  • SAP HCM experience in addition to SuccessFactors

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Broad level of understanding of information systems and systems architecture and integration standards.
  • Proven ability to utilize adaptable communication skills to effectively translate between technical and business language.
  • Proficient in algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and programming languages.
  • Must possess the skill to assess the client needs through direct interaction and identify opportunities to develop the business through effective use of technology.
  • Extensive experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, SAFE) and multiple programming languages.
  • Ability to work under deadlines, multitask, and adapt to changing environments.General web, cloud, and mobility technical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of core Internet technologies (HTTP, Mail, REST, DB, Data Modeling).
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex architectures in actionable terms.
  • Proficient in algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and programming languages.
  • Expertise in frontend, backend, mobile application development, or cloud services.
  • Extensive experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, SAFE) and multiple programming languages.
  • Broad understanding of information systems and application architecture standards.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle, and development of customer enhancements.
  • Ability to work under deadlines, multitask, and adapt to changing environments.

The salary/hourly range is $103,700.00 – $134,460.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
