TITLE: Principal Systems Engineer (D1)
LOCATION: Washington, D.C. (and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.) (remote position)

DUTIES: Serves as Technical PO resource for Capital SAP work for Digital Technology. Provides oversight and guidance to SAP COE PO team to set standards for developing new interfaces. Follows best practices for supporting/developing new interfaces. Documents how-to processes and cross-trains OPEX SAP support team. Oversees technical efforts to troubleshoot existing information systems, applications, middleware, and networks to identify errors and deficiencies. Evaluates team's proposed solutions and alternatives against decision criteria. Documents all SAP PO interfaces and keeps interface list/key interfaces updated. Identifies emerging trends and initiates research projects for team members. Leads innovation in the SAP PO space to improve processes and interfaces. Works with service providers to ensure in-scope technical solutions are consistent with enterprise business strategy and architecture. Provides project managers with technical consultations and advice, enabling quick responses to inquiries related to program/project.


REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field followed by nine (9) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Principal Systems Engineer or any occupation related to Software Development. Employer will accept a Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field followed by seven (7) years of professional experience as a Principal Systems Engineer or any occupation related to Software Development. Must also have seven (7) years of experience: 1) Developing and configuring SAP PO interfaces that move successfully into production; 2) Monitoring Enterprise PO Solutions, specifically PO channels/interfaces to resolve technical issues; 3) Performing on-call rotation to support Enterprise SAP PO solutions. Must also have six (6) years of experience: 1) Utilizing ServiceNow ITIL Framework for Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management; 2) Acting as the Subject Matter Expert for PO development and supporting at least three simultaneous high priority projects requiring PO development and/or architecture; and 3) Acting as a Team Lead of the SAP PI/PO Team. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Remote work permitted in accordance with company policy. SALARY: $173,763 per year
