SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Sr. Manager, Loyalty & Partnership Marketing is responsible for ensuring Amtrak Guest Rewards, Co-brand Credit Card and Loyalty & Brand Partnership Marketing programs are developed and articulated in a brand-right, consistent, and compelling way. Drives the development of materials including but not limited to in-station and onboard signage, out of home, digital screens, website, and mobile app creative, SMS, marketing emails and all other communication vehicles. Fulfills the strategic vision and specific requests of CRM, Loyalty, and Co-Brand leaders from a creative and brand marketing perspective, ensuring all deliverables align with their strategies. Serves as a key stakeholder in revisioning Loyalty program. Carefully and clearly documents brand guidance and campaign development for all Loyalty, Partnership and Co-Brand efforts partnering closely with Advertising, Media, and Brand Standards partners. Ensures extremely high quality and consistency across all channels. Takes insights and direction to improve the creative execution of all programs. Explores and expands upon new Brand Marketing partnerships and programs for Amtrak – taking activations through from concept to successful execution and optimization to expand Amtrak’s market presence. Leads, coaches, and develops a Lead Marketing Specialist and a Senior Marketing Analyst. Partners closely and directs creative and marketing efforts with agencies (CRM, Loyalty, Email). Ensures partners are all meeting and exceeding their deliverables and goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Program Development and Articulation: Ensure Amtrak Guest Rewards, Co-brand Credit Card, and Loyalty & Brand Partnership Marketing programs are developed and articulated in a brand-right, consistent, and compelling manner. Help define these brand standards in partnership with Loyalty and Brand Standards team members.
- Creative Development: Drive the creation of materials across various channels, including in-station and onboard signage, out-of-home advertising, digital screens, website and mobile app content, SMS, marketing emails, and other communication vehicles. This involves partnering with a variety of creative agencies and internal stakeholders to concept and produce materials.
- Strategic Alignment: Fulfill the strategic vision and specific requests of CRM, Loyalty, and Co-Brand leaders from a creative and brand marketing perspective, ensuring all deliverables align with their strategies. Ensure outputs align to team member’s briefs and strategic objectives.
- Loyalty Program Revisioning: Serve as a key stakeholder in the revisioning of the Loyalty program from a brand promise, visual ID, and brand articulation perspective.
- Documentation and Collaboration: Carefully and clearly document brand guidance and campaign development for all Loyalty, Partnership, and Co-Brand efforts, partnering closely with Advertising, Media, and Brand Standards partners. Ensure templates are created for internal and external partners that are extensible and consistent, ensuring extremely high quality and consistency across all channels.
- Continuous Improvement & Optimization: Take insights and direction to improve the creative and marketing execution of all programs.
- Partnership Activation Scope and expand upon new Brand Marketing partnerships and programs for Amtrak, taking activations from concept to successful execution and optimization to expand Amtrak’s market presence. Activate Loyalty Partnerships from a creative and marketing POV as requested by the Loyalty team.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a Lead Marketing Specialist and a Senior Marketing Analyst.
- Agency Collaboration: Partner closely and direct creative and marketing efforts with agencies (CRM, Loyalty, Email), ensuring partners meet and exceed their deliverables and goals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 9+ years of experience in marketing, with a focus on well-known/effective loyalty programs, brand partnerships, and creative development.
- Proven track record of managing and executing marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Proven success in exploring and expanding brand marketing partnerships and programs.
- Experience leading and developing a team.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certifications or awards in loyalty and/or brand partnership executions.
- Experience working in the hospitality, retail, transportation, or travel industry.
- Experience directing creative and marketing efforts with agencies

PAY TRANSPARENCY:
The salary/hourly range is $135,800-$176,040. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
