This hybrid position can be based in Washington DC; Wilmington, DE; Philadelphia, PA; or New York, NY.

 

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Sr Mgr/Director of TA Executive Recruitment will set the direction and strategy for the executive recruitment talent acquisition team responsible for developing and driving executive recruitment processes, strategies, and initiatives across Amtrak to deliver a best-in-class recruitment experience.  This position will report to the AVP Talent Acquisition. The Sr Mgr/Director of TA Executive Recruitment will manage and support the executive recruitment function and be a trusted partner to executive leadership and management teams. This leader will need to be fiscally responsible and manage the TA executive recruitment budget. This position provides leadership in creating a culture that values employees by serving as trusted advisors, developing strategic partnerships, and being responsive to organizational needs.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for all Amtrak executive recruitment efforts with a focus on operational excellence and delivering a best-in-class recruitment experience 
  • Develops, assess and measures executive recruitment processes and deliverables and ensures stakeholder accountability 
  • Understand critical talent segments and build key relationships with executive leaders 
  • Partner with executive leadership across Amtrak business units and locations in efforts to optimize, standardize, and automate the executive recruitment processes 
  • Use data and analytics to understand current state, report out performance indicators as well as to drive improvements 
  • Through data analysis, understand talent needs, candidate pipelines and business specific forecasts 
  • Manage external partnerships by building relationships with reputable executive search firms 
  • Oversee all stages of candidate experience and ensure our processes and strategies are attracting top talent 
  • Provide oversight to Amtrak recruiters assisting with executive recruitment
  • Cultivating a culture of excellence and developing clear objectives for executive recruitment

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 10+ years of relevant executive recruitment experience, leading executive recruitment strategies including but not limited to process design, planning, talent prospecting and sourcing initiatives, and employer branding activities. Experience managing executive recruitment partnerships.

 


MINIMUM KSA (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Demonstrated ability to work with executive leadership to develop strong business partnerships and relationships
  • Able to understand complex business strategies and recommend appropriate recruitment solutions
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate at various levels in the organization.
  • Superior organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities 
  • Demonstrated ability to interface, collaborate with, and influence stakeholder at all levels 
  • Proficient in leveraging technology for executive recruitment processes 
  • Strong knowledge of hiring processes, skill development, and organizational analysis frameworks 
  • Ability to set a strategic talent acquisition strategy, execute that strategy and to measure results through analytics

 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred experience in using SuccessFactors Recruiting ATS, and social media platforms


 

COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

 

The salary/hourly range is $135,800 - $176,040 for a Sr Mgr Executive Recruiting and $163,000 - $211,140 for a Director, Executive Recruiting. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
