SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Talent Acquisition Sr. Preboarding Coordinator will directly support Sr Manager, TA Support & Process Optimization by executing preboarding management of policies, procedures, and best practice through the performance of quality assurance activities. The role also supports identification and implementation of process improvement actions. This role is responsible for documenting, developing, improving, and/or analyzing, work processes or systems to drive compliance with applicable requirements.
This role will ensure system efficiencies while identifying ways to deliver a best-in-class new hire welcome program, that keeps stakeholders engaged across all touch points of the onboarding lifecycle. The Preboarding Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the recruiting function while managing pre-employment clearances, EC transaction processing and overall Talent Acquisition support. The position is responsible for efficient usage TA recruiting systems, reviewing/validating submitted transaction requests, processing, and entering transactions requests related to the areas of recruiting, including promotions and transfers, the distribution of new hire materials and internal auditing and activity tracking.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supports data integrity by planning and performing quality checks and audits on preboarding data
- Supports data projects, tools, or initiatives on behalf of the Sr Manager, TA Support & Process Optimization
- Escalate issues related to new hire pre-boarding and internal transfer processing
- Perform any other tasks to support quality assurance and process improvement of the Preboarding delivery practices, systems, tools, and data (e.g., research, ad-hoc compliance checks, data quality checks, root cause analysis, sensitivity analysis, etc.).
- Identify gaps and inefficiencies and present recommended improvement opportunities at various levels of management
- Champion and drive a culture that embraces innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Management with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience or any combination of relevant education and experience using applicant tracking systems.
- Experience in managing multiple shifting priorities, while maintaining organization and control in a fast-paced, complex organization
- Ability to operate with minimal direct supervision and exercise sound judgment and discretion
- Consistently provide stellar customer service with a problem-solving demeanor
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to independently prioritize and accomplish goals
- Demonstrate resource fullness anticipating needs and taking initiative
- Demonstrate ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with extreme discretion
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) and basic computer equipment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws affecting human resources issues pertaining to recruitment Experience providing customer service to candidates and hiring managers
- Familiarity with SAP or similar software
- Operational adaptability to meet sudden and unpredictable changes
COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
The salary/hourly range is $70,800 - $91,692, Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, internal equity, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
