Job Summary

The Sr Specialist, Digital Agility Coach is an entry-level Agile practitioner responsible for facilitating team-level Agile ceremonies, supporting team adoption of Lean-Agile practices, and promoting continuous improvement.

Essential Functions

  • Facilitate Scrum or Kanban team events and ensure adherence to Lean-Agile principles and SAFe practices.
  • Coach teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders to improve Lean-Agile maturity and value delivery success patterns.
  • Develop and execute team coaching plans tailored to maturity assessments and organizational goals.
  • Administer and facilitate AgilityInsights TeamHealth assessments, analyze results, and guide teams through improvement actions.
  • Facilitate impediment removal and manage dependencies to enable predictable value delivery.
  • Promote collaboration and transparency across teams and ARTs.
  • Contribute to the Lean-Agile Community of Practice by sharing leading practices and fostering continuous learning.
  • Drive relentless improvement through retrospectives and Inspect & Adapt workshops and feedback loops.Facilitate Scrum or Kanban team events (Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) and ensure basic adherence to Lean-Agile and SAFe practices.
  • Coach Agile teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders on foundational Lean-Agile principles to improve delivery consistency.
  • Assist in creating and executing basic team coaching plans focused on developing core Agile capabilities.
  • Support the administration of AgilityInsights TeamHealth assessments and help teams interpret results.
  • Assist in identifying and removing team-level impediments and escalate higher-level dependencies as needed.
  • Encourage transparency, collaboration, and trust within and across assigned teams.
  • Participate in the Lean-Agile Community of Practice by sharing lessons learned and contributing to discussions.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement activities, including retrospectives and participation in Inspect & Adapt workshops.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience. Plus 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with Jira Software, Confluence, FigJam, Jira Align, AgilityInsights
  • Latest SAFe Scrum Master Certification (Required)
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Work Environment: Onsite in Washington DC, Philadelphia PA or Wilmington DE.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
  • Plus 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in the transportation industry environment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • AgilityInsghts Facilitator (AIF) Certification

The salary/hourly range is $78,600.00 – $101,844.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
