SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The Organizational Change Management Manager is responsible for designing, leading, and delivering tactical and strategic change management work, including creating and executing stakeholder management plans, stakeholder communication plans, change impact analysis, change readiness assessments, change champion identification and development, change leadership, workforce readiness and cultural alignment. The OCM Manager will be responsible for leading simultaneously multiple change management programs/projects.

 

In addition, the Change Manager will should demonstrate and apply advanced knowledge of change management best practices, methodologies, and key components of change management. Responsible for defining and driving key Components of Change Management which includes but not limited to:

  • Executive Sponsorship Leadership / Stakeholder Alignment
  • Organization Alignment / Budget Allocation
  • Change Impacts Analysis, KPI Measurement and Change Resistance Plans
  • Employee Engagement / Communications
  • Stakeholder Maps & Journey Maps
  • Continuous Education / End-user Training
  • Employee Readiness / Workforce Readiness

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops or guides the development of creative and high-quality change management solutions with high impact results
  • Create and implement Change Management strategies and plans for strategic projects that maximize employee engagement and adoption through the development and implementation of change management tools and processes
  • Assists stakeholders and project teams to determine the impact of change, both in a predictive and retrospective view including conducing impact analysis, change readiness plans and user resistance plans
  • Evaluates stakeholder and user readiness, desired project results, potential resistance, and performance gaps to facilitate change from current state to desired state
  • Ensures the readiness of the impacted organization(s) for a variety of changes including new technology, processes, or programs and collaborate with our business partners to review people, process and technology change impacts.
  • Drives adoption, training, knowledge transfer initiatives that support the delivery project success
  • Uses process analysis strategies and tools to define improvement areas, identify OCM Impact, and plan to implement.
  • Assists with the execution of the Communication Plan & Campaigns designed for various projects
  • Conduct Stakeholder Interviews, User Readiness Workshops (UAT, Pilot & Go Live, etc.)
  • Conduct user feedback surveys, focus groups, facilitate lessons learned and OCM Scorecard to measure OCM KPIs.
  • Define a scalable Workforce Readiness Plan/support model to ensure smooth transition from hyper care to post go-live support.
  • Develop Training strategies and plans that include blended training solutions with detailed curriculums.
  • Applies structured change management methodologies and best practices.
  • Manage business and OCM vendor relationships.

 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with knowledge and successful implementation of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • At least 8 years of experience leading/managing and/or working with organizational development and/or OCM strategy and plans
  • Demonstrated success in supporting large transformational projects from a change management perspective
  • Experience creating communication campaigns and communication materials
  • Conduct change impact and readiness assessments
  • Monitor and evaluate change effectiveness
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Solid understanding of key change management models (Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter’s,Lewin, etc.)
  • Prosci Change Management Practitioner certification

 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience building mechanisms from the ground up, including design of roadmaps to drive incremental progress towards long-term vision and goals.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, team-based environment with stakeholders across different levels and areas of responsibility
  • Highly adaptable, ability to handle uncertainty and ambiguous situations • Excellent organization skills, ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with capacity to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and foster collaboration
  • Strong knowledge and working experience in a project-based environment that is driving significant transformation
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive them to completion using project/program management tools

 

COMMUNICATIONS AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

The salary range is $108,750-$140,940.   Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position and/or long-term incentive plan compensation.
