TITLE:              Principal Software Engineer
LOCATION:          Philadelphia, PA


DUTIES:     Lead development team in technical design and implementation to meet business requirements. Leverage management platform to drive API development. Manage work streams to create compliant platforms, including organizing and documenting technical requirements, creating technical design specifications, and assisting in sizing technical requirements. Evaluate existing applications and platforms. Provide recommendations for system enhancements by conducting gap analysis, identifying feasible alternative solutions, and assisting in scope modifications. Implement integration plans; interface with testing teams to incorporate plans into integration testing process; and define, develop, and modify software application modules and enterprise-wide software systems using disciplined development processes. Provide domain expertise in all areas of system architecture and software development with a focus on Mechanical, Engineering, Real Estate, and facilities management systems. Oversee efficient design and system configuration security and access, including cloud and mobile solutions.


REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field followed by eight (8) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Principal Software Engineer or any occupation related to Computer Systems Engineering and Architecture. Must also have eight (8) years of experience: (1) Configuring, integrating, and implementing Maximo in transportation or operational-heavy industry, including mobile application development and deployment; and (2) Programming with Python, Java, and SQL, including object-oriented Java, Java Spring framework, and Django. Must also have three (3) years of experience: (3) Developing mobile applications, in native and hybrid frameworks, including iOS applications in Swift and Objective C and Android applications in Java; (4) Utilizing HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, and Oracle to develop front-end and back-end technologies; and (5) Facilitating cloud architecture in Azure and AWS platforms. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Remote work permitted in accordance with standard company policy. All positions require pre-employment background check verification and a pre-employment drug screen.


SALARY:         $140,046 to $179,300 per year
